Volunteer of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year Award was initiated by GAMA International in 2007 to annually recognize significant volunteer contributions on to GAMA's behalf during the previous calendar year. This award is designed to recognize the efforts of one volunteer who stood out because of his or her tireless commitment to improving GAMA and the industry throughout the past year.
A special committee selects the recipient, and the award is presented annually at LAMP. All GAMA International volunteers are eligible to receive the award except those current board members. James Shoemaker was named the GAMA International Volunteer of the Year in 2007.
