The LAMP Awards
GAMA International cannot achieve its mission of growing leaders without the energy, commitment, and time of its member volunteers. The association exists both for and because of them.
Each year at LAMP, its annual meeting, GAMA honors several outstanding members who have demonstrated commitment to GAMA’s mission and excellence in their efforts to move it forward. The LAMP Awards — the Cy Pick Award, the Volunteer of the Year Award and the Editor's Choice Award — provide GAMA with an opportunity to thank these dedicated volunteers.
Cy Pick Award
The Cy Pick Award was established in 2000 in honor of C.A. “Cy” Pick, CLU ChFC FIC, who served as both president of GAMA International and chair of the GAMA Foundation Board of Trustees. The Cy Pick Award recognizes individuals who, like Cy, have made impressive contributions to the financial services industry through their volunteer activities with GAMA International. All GAMA International volunteers are eligible to be considered for the award except those who have gone through, or are slated to go through, the Executive Committee (that is, president, president-elect, vice president and secretary).

Since 2006, GAMA International has bestowed the Editor’s Choice Award for the outstanding practitioner-authored feature article for the GAMA International Journal during a calendar year. This award is one way that GAMA recognizes the efforts of its member-authors, who volunteer their time to share their successful ideas and best practices with fellow GAMA members. The recipient of the Editor’s Choice Award is chosen by the GAMA International Journal Committee, which reviews all articles submitted by GAMA International members.
